Vulnerability is quite undesirable

I sometimes feel that when a man opens up about his problems, feelings, and vulnerabilities, he somehow becomes less desirable in the eyes of the world.

As if vulnerability makes him weaker. As if admitting that he is hurting makes him less worthy of love, respect, or admiration.

I wonder how much truth there is to this feeling. Is it something men genuinely experience, or is it a fear we have internalized?

What’s your take on this? Have you ever experienced something similar?
